This course takes the international visitor from the basics of classroom conversation to encounters with real life in America’s historic, first capitol city. In the living context of American stores, restaurants, museums, sports arenas and cultural institutions conversational skills are practiced and mastered in everyday settings. Each lesson is introduced in the classroom and then expanded with an excursion or media experience. 

Choose from a variety of Philadelphia activities including visits to art and science museums, historic sites, the National Constitution Center, Reading Terminal Market, and sporting events.
